Attention: Clients and Banquet Facilities Sales Manager,
“Hello, I am Randy Ketchum, owner/operator/disc jockey of Ketchum Music
Disc Jockey Service.This letter is
written to inform your organization, establishment and sales marketing
department of information pertaining to our business and it’s practices. The information contained herein is
requested to be placed on file with your business for future reference, in
consideration of conducting business with you, your clients, and your
establishment.”
Our business was established in 1992
and we have served numerous banquet facilities, churches, hotels, halls and
restaurants inthe greater central
Michigan and outlying areas.We have
and are still currently operating only a single disc jockey system, with no
intentions of expanding to a multi-system operation. We have never missed an event nor double booked any potential
customer. All of our clients have a
written contract with us and we maintain a close business relationship with
them prior to and during their event. Also, every attempt is made to inspect/survey each facility in advance
and establish communications with the management and/or staff, in agreement of
how the establishment/disc jockey maintain a proper business relationship
during each event.
This we DO:Attempt to know
the facility, understand and obey the policies, procedures or rules governing
the facility and it’s event(s), if given the appropriate information.Dress as requested.Conduct attitude, manners and personality in
accordance as requested at each event by client or establishment.Be aware and observant of any unusual
behavior or surroundings, and have any necessary actions taken, by the event or
facility personnel.Converse with the
facility management/staff as often as necessary to insure optimum event
results.Give of myself one-hundred
plus percent etc., to make sure the event is a success.
This we Do NOT:Arrive
late.Perform magic acts, skits, comedy
routines, tell jokes, humiliate or intimidate anyone, or use obnoxious
props.Because of health hazards and
recent events that have plagued some establishments throughout the nation, our
notice to any establishment we operate in, is that we have never and continue
not to use any fireworks, pyrotechnics, sparklers, smokers, foggers, matches,
lighters, and any flammable, chemical or combustible material. Also we refrain from using any type of
liquids, such as bubbles, due to the liability of persons slipping, falling,
inhaling and soiling their clothing or themselves.Likewise, we do not, nor encourage the use ofconfetti/streamer devices due to liability
and extreme clean-up.We are not
vulgar, do not smoke, do not eat, drink alcohol, and take intermission type
breaks during any event.
Although we advertise in several
local publications, marketing our business to your establishment and your
customers has now become our primary focus. We have become a full time business. As to possibly help us fill our calendar weekends and business days, I
have included personal business information that you may keep on file, and
brochures to pass out, in which you may encourage your customers to use.If you feel the brochures are an
inconvenience, please let me know.If
you need additional brochures at any time, also please let me know.
“I would like to thank you for
taking time out of your busy schedule to read this letter and information.I may have performed here in the past, or
will perform in your facility in the future, but for now I would like to
securea close business relationship
with your organization and facility.”
Sincerely,
Randy Ketchum
